Students who cannot see learn to use Technology in Summer Program
A program at the Lighthouse of Houston in Texas teaches students who have visual impairments or cannot see to use adaptive technology. Students learn to use mobile applications and features such as VoiceOver on the iPad plus other assistive devices such as the Refreshabraille 18, a braille keyboard device. The one-week course is part of a six-week summer transition program and includes classes in other independent-living skills. Houston Chronicle
