State awards Six Grants to Charter and Districts
o support Family Engagement
"Every educator will tell you how vital parent involvement is to children's academic success as well as a strong school community," Secretary of Education Mark Murphy said. "We have to find better ways to engage families. Many parents want to be involved. But with the many work, family and other demands they also are balancing, they may not know what opportunities are available or how they can create their own. These districts and charter school are piloting innovations that other schools also will be able to learn from and replicate when successful."
