This is a Parent Information Center sponsored event.
Thu, Apr 2, 6:30pm - 8:30pm
IEP Clinic
Sponsored by the Brandywine Special Needs PTA
The IEP is the blueprint for special education and related services. Parents learn how the IEP is designed to address their children's strengths and needs for specialized instruction, accommodations, modifications and related services.
Strategies shared at this seminar help parents become informed and participating members of the IEP team.
Marie-Anne Aghazadian, Executive Director of the Parent Information Center of Delaware will present. PIC's mission statement is to improve outcomes for children with special needs and their families by providing information, education and support.
Valerie Werner, Family Leader Liaison for Delaware Family Voices - Family to Family Health Information Center will also be presenting. F2F assists families as they navigate health systems, insurance plans and Medicaid. Because the health care needs of children with special needs are chronic and complex, parents and caregivers often struggle to find the resources and services that their children need.
